I DRIVE SAFELY Teen Driver’s Education Course

The I DRIVE SAFELY Teen Driver’s Ed course could be the most important learning experience for teenage students. The excitement is building as they come closer to having their licenses, and we need to prepare them for their driving careers.

Letting a teen behind the wheel is one of the hardest things for a parent to do. According to a recent survey, parents are more concerned with their teenager’s driving safety than they are about drug abuse, drinking or pregnancy.

Since teens lack the knowledge and abilities that only experience can bring, they have a harder time measuring risks and consequences. A teenager should study the risks and responsibilities that come with driving and it is important that they have an educational safety program that is engaging as well as informational.

This is the top online driver’s education program in the country. The course is thorough and comprehensive. The curriculum is made up of 8 units, each of which use multimedia tools to present students with information.  The units are:

  1. Introduction: We jump right in and discuss avoiding collisions, surviving the drive, risk management, and physics – laws you can’t break. This is also where students will find information about their license requirements and insurance information.
  2. The Driver: This unit focus on personal safety and physical and mental readiness. Students will learn how to use their cars safety devices and how to avoid impaired driving due to fatigue, alcohol and drugs, inattention, and emotion.
  3. The Vehicle: It’s important to understand the vehicle systems and controls.  This unit also covers routine checks, fuel stops, and more.
  4. The Road: Here we cover signs, signals, markings, and intersections that students will be facing behind the wheel. We make sure they understand the rules of the road and the different driving environments they’ll be in.
  5. Basic Driving: This unit starts with a pre-driving checklist then continues with detailed instructions for maneuvering the vehicle. Students will study the details on how to control their car and how to communicate with other drivers.
  6. Intermediate Driving: In this unit, driving conditions come into play. It’s important for students to know how to manage their speed and their space while taking into account pedestrians, highway difficulties, or other drivers.
  7. Advanced Driving: Sharing the road, night driving, wet weather, ice and snow, and other difficulties are addressed in this unit. We also cover important emergency maneuvers.

This course takes pride in its strong emphasis on safe driving skills and building a mature attitude towards the risks of driving.

The teenagers in your life will be driving soon, so help make sure they get the expert training they need. This online course is engaging and requires complete attention, unlike the classrooms of traditional driver education.  With I DRIVE SAFELY, the young people in your life will learn and thrive on the responsibility, the joy, and the benefits of getting behind the wheel.
