What makes my approach different? Where is my passion coming from?

For over 20 years, I've been helping parents and teens break free of the constant battles and destructive habits that have left their relationships in shambles.

My work as a counselor, mediator, and advisor to hundreds of frustrated families over the years has given me an insider's view into the ways teens and parents interact. I've learned that although every parent and teen is different in their own way, their motivations and desires are not.

But I Didn't Always Have That Insight

As a single mother of two teenager daughters, I faced the same challenges as you. My eldest daughter and I were like two magnets – pushing each other further and further apart, until it seemed we would never come together on anything again.

After a final, brutal meltdown one evening, I was determined to find a better way to reach out to my teenager.

It wasn't until I approached my daughter, other teenagers, as well as other parents, that I discovered a different way...a better way. An approach to parenting teenagers that is based on understanding.

And when my youngest daughter grew into her teens, I was prepared...armed with new insight and knowledge that made her teenage years a breeze.

Soon People Began To Notice

It wasn't long before my daughter's friends and their parents began to notice our newfound trust and mutual respect. Ironically, it was my daughter's own friends that first came to me for help – not their parents.

As I talked to these teens, I realized they weren't unlike my daughter...they had the same desire for guidance and direction from their parents. The same desire for a better, more open relationship. But the lack of communication and understanding was a huge hurdle for them.

And when I began talking to their parents, I heard the same pain and frustration I had felt when I first struggled with my own daughter. My approach and guidance helped challenge their fears and tear down those communication barriers – and opened the doors to new and fulfilling relationships.

I Wanted To Help

In the many years since my own experience, I've researched and refined my approach to parenting teens. I've spent the past two decades helping families...speaking, writing, and advising parents to help them achieve a more fulfilling and trusting relationship.

I've dedicated my professional life to bringing parents and teens closer together, and knowing that I've helped families overcome the same challenges I once faced with my daughter has been my greatest reward.

I've been using the internet over the past few years to help more people than I ever thought possible. And I've recently taken my two decades of strategies and research and made it available in a book, Help Me With My Teenager! A Step-by-Step Guide For Parents That Works.

It's made an immediate impact in the lives of so many parents struggling to connect with their teen. I hear from readers on a daily basis that have taken my advice and turned a destructive parent-teen relationship into a fulfilling life of trust and respect.

If you're a struggling parent, I know that I can help you too.

I hope you'll take the time to read my books and articles, and discover – like I did so many years ago – that there's a better way of living for both you, and your teen.

Sincerely,
Christina Botto
