"This guide is a no nonsense "how-to" that is likely to save many relationships. Being reminded to be careful of what to say, how to act, and react, is worth its weight in gold. If you need a little guidance, a friendly whisper in the ear about what works and what doesn't, Christina Botto is here for you."

"As a parent of a teenager and a pre-teen, I found Help Me With My Teenager to be right on target. I like that Botto's focus is twofold: the wellbeing of your teenager, and the wellbeing of your parent-teen relationship. If you want to continue to foster a close relationship with your growing child built on trust ad respect, help your teen successfully navigate through these confusing and exciting years, and genuinely be there for your teen, this guide is for you. Easy to read, it dives right into solutions without making you jump through impossible hoops to get results."

"Botto's advice is sound, her tone friendly, and her strategies manageable. Written as it is by a mother rather than a mental health professional, Help Me With My Teenager! speaks in a clear and understandable language directly to parents. Some techniques, such as stopping whatever you are doing when your kid is ready to talk, will be difficult for already busy parents to implement. However, the extra effort promises to pay excellent dividends in the form of a healthier, more supportive relationship."

Press Release - September 2006

Announcing the release of Help Me With My Teenager! A Step-by-step Guide for Parents that Works

PARENTS

Originally published in September 2006, “Help Me With My Teenager! A Step-by-step Guide for Parents that Works” has been praised by professional book reviewers and the media alike. However, the true and intended beneficiaries of my book are parents who are struggling with their teen's behavior.

The 2nd Edition, released in December 2010, includes and addresses some requests I received from parents.

A huge “Thank you” to parents who took the time to send me their comments.
Christina Botto

"I am a certified Life Coach and regularly coach parents about life matters with inclusion of Parent Child Relationships. I am currently living in the United Arab Emirates and have a worldwide client base. I recently downloaded the e-book “Help with my Teenager” by Christina Botto. “Help with my Teenager” is insightful and absolutely On The Mark, and I have to congratulate Ms Botto with a wonderful directive which should definitely be read by all parents!"
Dirk Benson, dirkbenson@gmail.com

"I hope you all can get this email to Christina. I am the father of a 16 year old son.  Last night he and I had an episode.  I went to the net, looking for articles on parenting angry teenagers.  I saw a short article on Christina's book and bought it in a matter of seconds.  I read most of it last night.  It's as though she was describing me and my son.  Her book is fantastic.  Thank you for the insight, Christina."
Clifford Williams, Baton Rouge, La.

"Botto's book helped me understand my son better. Instead of getting angry at him, I now meet him with love and compassion. Our relationship is improving every day. I feel that I am a much better dad to my son by giving him the support he needs. I recommend this book to any parent of a teen."
Anthony Cardez, Raleigh, NC

"The book thus far has been very validating. As I read each chapter I find myself thinking yeah my son says that or does that. It really helps put things in perspective. The tips to improve the relationships between parent and child are very logical and easy to apply."
Melissa Hendrickson, Sedro Woolley, WA

"While reading this book, I felt that the real stories the author shared helped me in realizing I'm not alone and that so many other parents were dealing with the same thing. The book helped me in approaching problems with my daughter in a different way."
Mary Faett, Reston, VA

"I love this book! It is written with concern and compassion for both, the parent as well as the teen. It thoroughly explains the causes of typical teenager behavior and gives many examples of how to successfully interact with your teen. I highly recommend it to any parent with teens."
Doug Hitch, Southfield, Michigan

"This book is very helpful and very specific to specific issues. Each child is different but this gives you useful information to be used on different kinds of young people. The book is realistic and helpful. I have recommended it to several of my friends - Great book."
Carmen Coin, Boston, Massachusetts

"I found this book to be very informative as well as giving great real-life examples; these are helpful in deciding how to talk to your teen in a way that makes them NOT want to tune you out, but also doesn't make them feel ashamed or bad. I would recommend it for any parent who is not sure how to approach problems and conflicts with their teenager--and doesn't want to create a chasm between them."
Christopher White, Texas

"While my oldest is only ten years old, I immediately realized that this book could help me with raising her even before she officially becomes a teenager. I have already begun to experience some strains on our relationship, but this book gave me new insight and approaches that I alone would not have thought of."

Paul Casser, Orlando, Florida

"Christina has been such a help to me in raising my son. He and I now have clearly defined roles and boundaries, and we are closer than ever. Thank you Christina for your advice, your patience, and your grace."
Tim Ready, Ocala, Florida

"Our home was a place of constant nagging and resentment, moans, groans, and conflict. This book is helping me to not get angry at my teen; the conversation examples are extremely helpful. It is a VERY practical book that is not bogged down in theory. It has been a great inspiration to me and gives me the courage to face another day with my teen."
Ellen Keegan, Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know about a new website that was set up by a great gal that is a great help with troubled teens. She has also written a wonderful book, some of you already have it, others can order it, and it is really, really worth it. You may not personally need this info, but you may know someone else that could really use the help, so please share it with all that are around teens, we all know that they could use all the help we can give them!!

Even if you don't need it at home, maybe you could use it at work, or someone else could use it at work. Try it if you do need it, don't think you will be disappointed!!

I am just a Mother, Aunt, Cousin, wife, and very importantly a G-Ma! I have read your book and have also given copies to others to use both with your teens and in their professional lives as well. I come from a big family, have professionally baby-sat when I was 11 have many contacts, thought the email was the best way to reach those that I don't have personal contact with any more. Best wishes for great success!!
Love, Sandy Jackson, Ocala, Florida
